At Ausome Cutz Inc., our mission is to provide free inclusive hair cutting services for the Neurodivergent Community. We have hopes of receiving funding to purchase a mobile barbershop to provide a safe and comfortable environment for individuals receiving services.
Established in 2023, Ausome Cutz, Inc., is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization dedicated to providing free, sensory-friendly haircutting services to members of Philadelphia’s neurodivergent community. We specialize in accommodating the unique needs of neurodivergent persons and those with sensory processing disorder, and have developed our program with guidance from our local community, our partners, and from personal experience with our own neurodivergent children.
We are Ronald and Monique Berrian!
We are followers of Christ with three children and our youngest, Ronald Jr., is diagnosed with Autism. Ronald was diagnosed with autism at the age of two. From the time I began to cut his hair, we were faced with issues. Ronald had a lot of sensory issues and it made difficult for Ronald to receive haircuts. Although it was difficult for Ronald and us, we stayed persistent because we wanted him to get use to receiving haircuts. After many years of trying, Ronald became comfortable with receiving haircuts. Once Ronald became comfortable, God revealed to us that there were other families facing the same challenges. From then on, we had a heart to help the Neurodivergent Community. Now that we are an nonprofit organization, we are in position to help
